What to expect
One city. Two schools. One winner.
Once a year, Pilsen’s students split into two camps. UWB and the Faculty of Medicine clash for the city, and thousands of students in the stands decide who’ll be louder that night.
Halftime show
The very first Pilsen Halftime Show belonged to Renne Dang and Slavíček. This year we’re lining up another big name. You’ll find out who very soon.
Fan zone
The Battle starts long before the opening face-off. From 17:00 a fan zone full of music, contests and more awaits in front of the arena. Come early and get in the mood.
Afterparty
The final siren doesn’t end the night. After the game we move on to the official afterparty — and you can add the entry straight to your Battle ticket.

Both fan camps march to the arena before the game. Blue Heaven for UWB, White Hell for the Faculty of Medicine. Pick your side and join the march.

The trophy goes to the winners, then we move on to the official afterparty.
After the game
Afterparty
The siren doesn’t end the Battle. After the game both camps move to one dance floor. The official afterparty runs late into the night.

History of the Battle
One battle. Years of rivalry.
Since 2013 the Battle of Pilsen has pitted students of UWB against the Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen. What started as a university derby has grown into one of the city’s biggest student events.

One team. Two universities. ZČU Akademici Plzeň bring together students of the University of West Bohemia and the Charles University Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen. Together they play the University Ice Hockey League and have long ranked among its most successful teams.
